Our story

A small roaster, a short menu, no rush

PortoRoaster began with a small drum roaster and a obsession: coffees that taste of somewhere. We chase exotic origins - anaerobic naturals, honey-processed lots, varietals you will not find on a supermarket shelf - and roast them gently, in batches small enough to cup every one.

The room was built for staying. Everything glows at 3000K, the warm end of the spectrum, because we think coffee tastes better in soft light. Low music, a slow pace, and a corner sofa we call the chill zone.

Bring your laptop too. The wifi is fast and the vibe is coded for it - half our regulars are remote workers who came for one espresso and never left.

Every bean we pour is also for sale. Ask at the bar what is resting well this week, and leave with a bag dated the day it was roasted.

Can I work from the café?
Yes - the wifi is fast and reliable, with plugs along the wall and a long table that stays quiet before noon. At busy times we simply ask everyone to share.
Can I vibe code there?
Absolutely - vibe coding is practically the house style. Fast wifi, plugs at every seat, warm 3000K light and a soundtrack that stays out of your head make it easy to stay in flow. The long table is quiet before noon if you want fewer distractions.
How do I order beans to take home?
Come to the bar, or message us on Instagram and we will hold a bag for you. Everything is roasted in small batches and dated, whole bean or ground to your brewer.
What do you mean by exotic coffee tastes?
Coffees that taste unusual on purpose: anaerobic naturals with tropical fruit notes, delicate honeys, rare varietals. The rotation changes weekly, so ask what is on the grinder.
Why is the light so warm?
Every lamp in the shop is 3000K warm white. We think coffee and conversation feel better in amber light than under cool LEDs - and the photos agree.
